I found this cool online application that lets you create images, edit pictures, etc... from your web browser. It's like having photoshop available to you on any computer connected to the internet. It's called Sumo Paint, and the little bit I experimented with it, left me very impressed. You will need a web browser with Adobe Flash installed.

This was the Star Wars Holiday Special I have had memories of for a long time, I had thought that perhaps it was a bad dream I had as a child after playing too long with my action figures. Well thanks to the internet, were nothing dies, I can now safely say I am sane living in a crazy world.

Where else can you find Carrie Fisher singing the Star Wars Theme Song, or 12 minutes of Wookies talking without subtitles (oddly it was this scene that I remember so much.)

All the stars are in this one including... Mark Hamill, Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, Anthony Daniels, James Earl Jones, Beatrice Arthur, Art Carney & of course Chewbacca's Family.

Sure, you offer a cool interface. And, you let me get my mail without annoying Yahoo Ads for $20 a year (thanks for that, but making less annoying ads like Google would be better.).

Dear Yahoo Mail Team,

Why am I paying $20 a year for pop access I don't use?

Sure, not having ads is nice. Being able to send mail from multiple addresses is great. But since you decided to give away unlimited storage space to everybody. I feel that my $20 has less value.

So here is what I want...

IMAP. I want to be able to sync my mail from my main PC to work offline . I know you can do it (you are doing it with the iphone). I know that others have done it as well. I mean even AOL does it (a fact that continues to tempt me to jump ship).

So do me, others and yourselves a favor. Give us IMAP, or I may take my $20 elsewhere.

The Legend of Spring Heeled Jack

Spring Heeled Jack was the 19th century version of the bogey man. A bouncing menace that enjoyed molesting innocent women as they walked the streets of Victorian London.

It was never concluded if Spring Heeled Jack was merely a legend, a ghost or a man having a goof on unsuspecting females. It is known he was widely reported in papers and amongst people at the time.

I first read about the legend in one of my father's books on the paranormal, when I was in High School. I used the story to create this audio, with my sister, and some poor sounds effects, for a class project.

I recently came across it and mp3'd it so that the legend of Spring Heeled Jack could be spread into this 21st century and beyond.

A sailor called David Blair forgot to leave behind a key as the Titanic set off on its maiden voyage.

Without it, his shipmates were unable to open a locker in the crow's nest containing a pair of binoculars for the designated lookout.

The binoculars were to look out for dangers in the distance including signs of bad weather - and icebergs.

Lookout Fred Fleet, who survived the disaster in which 1,522 people lost their lives, later told an official inquiry that if they had binoculars they would have seen the iceberg sooner.

The Greatest Black Friday Deal Ever

With the upcoming holiday season approaching I remembered this story I stumbled across last year.

Although I don’t usually cover this kind of thing, after reading the story no one can argue that it wasn’t a great deal.

This guy opened a store during the holidays with NO MONEY DOWN. The link below will take you to the full story.

But, in short he saw a closed store in the mall with merchandise still inside. He made an offer to take over the story on a “trial” bias with no down payment on the lease.

After some tough negations he got what he asked for, plus the merchandise inside the store.

He later updates his story saying...

“We closed the doors Feb. 15th @ 6:00p.m. I have rented a truck to move the remaining stock to the warehouse. I am very pleased at the final out come. We met our goal and then some. I am actually very happy that the store is closed, It was beginning to wear me down. I still have a few outstanding bills to pay, but they are minimal. I have walked away with 55K in four months and have about 15K in stock to liquidate. "
